Date of Service
On the 5010 837D form, if there's a 2300 level DTP and no 2400 level DTPs, the 2300 level DTP will be used.
Examples
§ File has claim level (2300) DTP date and no SVC (2400) level dates
The form shows the 2300 level datefor each service line.
If you change the dates and revalidate, the 2300 level date is changed in the raw edi. If you had entered different dates for each service line, the revalidation will set them all to be the same date because there can only be one 2300 level service date.
§ File has claim level (2300) DTP date and SVC (2400) level dates.
The form shows a 2400 level date for each service line. If you change the dates and revalidate, the 2400 level dates are updated to the values that you entered on the form.
§ File has no claim level (2300) DTP date but has SVC (2400) level dates:
The 2400 level dates are shown for each service line.
If any DN1 elements are present, the Ortho indicator is checked. If none are present or the DN1 segment is not present, the No checkbox is checked. The checkboxes are read-only.
The behavior is:
§ DN101 is present: The Yes checkbox is checked, cannot edit the "months remaining" textbox because the DN102 element is not present.
§ DN102 is present: The Yes checkbox is checked. You can edit, save, and revalidate the Months Remaining textbox. Deleting the value from the textbox will save but cause a validation error.
§ DN104 is present: The Yes checkbox is checked. You can edit the Months Remaining textbox.
§ DN1 segment has no elements or is not present: The No checkbox is checked.
